Outdoor Dining Spots You Won’t Want to Miss

O

Virtue Feed & GrainThe warm summer months are finally here, and there’s no better time than now to enjoy the long evenings with fine food and delicious libations.

Lucky for us, we live in one of the foodie capitals of the DVM area – and there are plenty of options for first-class patio dining.

Virtue Feed & Grain: This contemporary foodie-haven makes “Best of” lists time and again for their menu and outdoor dining. At Virtue, the hustle and bustle of life give way to a fun, upbeat vibe when you step onto the tree-lined patio. After dark, the twinkling string lights provide just the right amount of illumination for a relaxing, or even romantic, outdoor dining experience.

Hummingbird Bar & Kitchen: One of the latest ‘hot spots’ in town, and for good reason. Located in the Indigo Hotel on South Union Street, just one block from Virtue, this fantastic newcomer to the Old Town dining scene features the award-winning chef, Cathal Armstrong who has prepared a menu full of exquisite delights. Much like the menu, Hummingbird’s interior design is luxurious without being over the top. The long bar and floor to ceiling glass windows create a crisp & fresh feel and you’ll just love the gorgeous open-air patio.

Daniel O’Connell’s: The epitome of classic, outdoor dining, O’Connell’s patio provides the perfect backdrop for a midday meeting or dinner with friends. There’s both a street-level and upstairs patio area, and each has its own vibe. Known for offering TV, sports, and live music, depending on the time of day, the energy at O’ Connells can be lively and up-tempo or more relaxed. Regardless, this elegant Irish pub is a beautiful place to be, the food is delicious, and the service is always friendly.
