This year marks the 285^th anniversary of his birth and there’s plenty of events and local activities for people of all ages happening all over Old Town and the surrounding area.

You can take the kids to visit Mount Vernon and enjoy breakfast in the 12-acre field with “George Washington” or enjoy character performances and birthday cake on the bowling green. Or you can get dressed up and participate in a fabulous black tie event, or wait until Monday and enjoy the George Washington Birthday Parade as it marches though the streets of Old Town!
